The Most Affordable Way To Add Art To Your Home
It surely goes without saying that wall art is one of the best ways to add personality and life to any home. It has the power to instantly elevate a room, set the mood, and tie an entire space together. While of course my favorite kind of art is original, usually sourced from an antique store or estate sale, this requires lots of hunting and patience to find the perfect piece. In the meantime of finding that just-right goodie to adorn your wall, I've got a secret up my sleeve of the most affordable way to add art to your home.
ENTER: DIGITALLY SOURCED ART
My ultimate secret to affordable art is digital downloads—art files you pay for one time, download to your computer, and can print as many times and in whatever way you want. While Etsy is my most favorite place to source affordable digital art prints, I also love and very much appreciate the curated collections of Vintage Supply, Juniper Print Shop and BFF Print Shop.
Once you find and purchase your chosen art print, you simply download it to your computer and then it's time to print! While there are a few different printing options that differ in quality, my favorite, most cost-effective and most convenient option is Walgreens. You can usually print all sizing you would need same-day and with a coupon code, it's super cheap. You just upload your file (making sure it's the right ratio for your chosen size!), choose your Walgreens pickup location, and send it off. It always impresses me how fast they get it ready!
Once you pick up your new printed art, it's time to frame and hang (the best part!) Antique stores and estate sales are great places to source unique and vintage frames at a great price, or if you're looking for a more simplified option you can check out HomeGoods, TJMaxx, Marshall’s, Target and Amazon.
There's lots to love about taking the digital download route for art (affordable, endless options, convenient, etc.), and I especially love that it's low commitment—since it's not expensive to do, I never feel bad about switching things out when it's not a good fit or I just want a change.
Hope this helps and happy hunting! Art has such a way of taking a space up a notch and finding that perfect fit, whether original, digital, a print, you name it, is just the best. Soon maybe I'll curate a little collection of some of my favorite digital art—stay tuned!
