It's no secret that Target has become an ultimate go-to for affordable furniture and home decor over the years. Releasing collaborations with visionaries Shea McGee and Joanna Gaines, Target has only continued to level up their home offerings as they release new collections. While we admittedly like to be wary of Target home purchases, staying mindful of quality of materials and deciphering between timeless pieces vs. quickly outdated trends, we couldn't believe our eyes when we spotted this particular piece. It's a classic style, fabulous price point, and we couldn't help but give it a moment in the spotlight.
When Hearth and Hand, Joanna Gaines' Target line, dropped its fall collection, we locked eyes on this piece and couldn't get our hands on it fast enough. At only $350 and available in both Black and Aged Oak finishes, the 3-Drawer Classic Vertical Dresser is a traditional-style dresser with curved corners, antique silver knobs and the cutest bun feet. At 30 inches tall, 34.5 inches wide and 18 inches deep, this piece is quite substantial, which helps it achieve a high end look. It's common for more affordable furniture items to look a bit like a shrinked-down version to a higher end alternative, so we were super happy with the size of this one. We ordered both aged oak and black colorways to see them up close and personal and the truth is, you can't go wrong. The aged oak is a warm wood tone with beautiful graining without leaning orange, and the black is a warm almost brown-black, not a harsh black. We're really pleased with both options all around.
"After going back and forth, I personally went with the Aged Oak finish as nightstands for our primary bedroom and I couldn't be happier. They took a little time to put together but the instructions were easy and straightforward. They are a nice sturdy size and have great storage space. While the piece is not made of real wood, it's honestly hard to tell—it's really well done. After switching the knobs to antique brass for an extra touch, I'm so happy with them!" -Bridget, Householden Founder
